In order to feel at peace in one’s life, I believe that balance is key. When anxiety or depression manifest, I think it can be due to an imbalance among six major components essential for a healthy life. These components are: Mind, Body, Soul, Love, Play and Work. In therapy, I like to examine each of these essential facets of functioning, By doing so, we can learn which areas are needing more love and ultimately begin to uncover the roots of the imbalances altogether.

Through a holistic lens, I look at a person as a whole being who needs each sector functioning well in order to thrive. When traumatic incidents occur, the painful after-effects can really throw our lives out of harmony if not attended to properly. Therapy is a brave and wonderful way to begin or continue the healing journey of working with your experiences to deepen your understanding of yourself, heal emotional wounds and increase levels of happiness.

As a therapist, I strive to bring a sense of calmness, warmth and authenticity to our sessions, so that we can explore and create new ways of coping with the ups and downs of life. I utilize a Person-Centered approach, which emphasizes empathy and the fundamental belief that every individual has the power to self-actualize and make positive changes in their life. I like to work within a holistic framework and pull from a range of therapeutic tools including: Mindfulness, Meditation, Breathwork and Somatic-based practices. I look forward to embarking on this healing journey together.

“You are loved just for being who you are, just for existing. You don’t have to do anything to earn it. Your shortcomings, your lack of self-esteem, physical perfection, or social and economic success – none of that matters. No one can take this love away from you, and it will always be here” – Ram Dass
